AGRICULTURAL BARN PROGRESS UPDATE

Great progress is being made on this agricultural barn conversion at a local site with stunning views.

The practice has been involved with the project from inception, undertaking a complex planning process that leant on expertise gained in other class Q conversion projects that we’ve completed in the area.

The attention to detail in the walling, cladding and large window apertures is paying dividends now as the envelope continues to take shape.

Local contractor, Abode Construction, are working through all the seasons and possible weather conditions on the site, but are doing their usual meticulous work.

The massing and materiality of the house are really starting to come through now, and with the scaffolding dropped, we’ll be able to see the millimetre perfect corten band that will set off against the cladding and descend the front elevation to frame the entrance.

Internally, insulation and boarding are well underway and the cathedral-like double height spaces are starting to reveal how impressive they will really be.

The double storey windows are going to offer exceptional views in multiple directions, adding to the sense of drama as the client moves through the house.

Construction is due for completion in May and we’re looking forward to bringing you more updates as the project draws closer to completion.
